Unmovable Mover

Unmovable Mover

my other body is a metaphor
my other body is a blade
my other body is a baby born talking, describes heaven
and the heat in your hair
my other body is the song Solomon forgot
of scorched earth and the taste of sweetness
my other body closes its eyes and traces the print
my other body has a flashlight heart on tiptoes
in the deep end of the house
where you are always young
my other body carries its chalice to the altar
my other body always knows what to steal and when to stop
my other body doesn’t burn all the way to the filter
my other body is where other bodies go to die
my other body is smoke on your tongue, stars getting soft
my other body is the breaker
